700ML / 47.3% ABV.
This new blended whisky is a recreation from the 2007 discovery of whisky left in the Antarctic by Sir Ernest Shackleton during his famous expedition in the early 1900s. Richard "the nose" Patterson is the man behind this revival, using his skills and knowledge to recreate the historic whisky. A portion of the price of every bottle is donated to The Arctic Heritage Trust to help in the preservation of the original arctic bases.
Nose: Soft, elegant and refined. Delicate crushed apple, pear and fresh pineapple. Notes of oak shavings and smoke. Hints of vanilla, creamy caramel and nutmeg.
Palate: Plenty of impact on the palate; a tantalising array of flavours, harmonious and exhilarating.
