Port Ruighe (pronounced ‘Portree’) is the Gaelic spelling of old trading port and largest town on Skye. Double matured in port casks, this no age statement release from Talisker is a tribute to the Scottish traders who braved the rough seas to found the port wine trade.
What Our Angels Say
My preferred Talisker at the moment.
Nose: Sweet smokiness of a dying wood burning fire with the richness of ripen plums.
Palate: The initial pepper on the tongue soon develops into a peatiness with a difference. A creamy smokiness mingled with spice & dark fruits.
Finish: Long lingering dry smokiness.
